Yo!
So I had dinner an Pan Pacific Hotel today...
Ate at the restaurant called Global Kitchen, buffet dinner...
Well should i be disappointed?
Well ain't exactly disappointed, there were many good thing about the restaurant...
Lemme go into detail...
First went to Grandma house, met Aunty Jade Uncle Vincent and Jun Wei..
Then we made our way down to Pan Pacific to meet my Ah Jean...
So we reached, as usual Ah Jean was late...
So we entered into the restaurant..
First to enter coz we made reservations..
When I enter, i went WOW!
The ambience was marvelous..
We had sort of a private area, not a room but sort of like a corner to ourselves, with curtains and stuff...
Totally charmed my socks off...
The waiters were very friendly, there was one staff near the table at any one time..
Really good service, when we eat finish, they will come and clear the plate instantly, not like some buffets where they wait till you are gone to grab more food...
So by the time u come back with your next plate, the table is cleared..
The variety of food was not as much as expected but still a lot...
Love the Japanese corner the most!
Their tempura was AMAZING!
Stir Fried Udon MARVELOUS!
They were not stingy at all, the whole wok of Udon had loads of meat, just a random scoop filled my whole plate with meat veg and udon..
The Alaskan crab was way too salty, I think its meant to be that was, but its so salty till i cant take it..
The prawns and hotate (scallop) was fresh, and damn sweet!
Loved the prawns most!
Sadly no rawr oyster or sashimi, but they had a salmon sashimi sushi...
Ok enough of the Japanese corner, lets talk about the Chinese/Malay corner...
The Ee Mee with Crab Meat was good, the noodle was moist, not too dry...
Duck was REAL GOOD!!!
Not too fatty as well, not like some duck with a whole layer of fats under its skin...
The steamed fish with soy sauce was also tasty, not too salty, very fresh fish!
There were stuff like Rendang which i heard was good, fried fish and a few other malay food...
Ok Next would be the more Ang Moh side, there were like Pasta Salad, Smoked fish which was NICE!
Mushroom salad that was DARN GOOD!
Assorted Cold Cuts, not really my type of food...
There was also Chicken Sausage which i was surprised i did not try, as i love Pan Pac Sausages, still have a few packets of their frozen sausages in the freezer HA HA!!
There were also potato wedges and stuff...
There was also a noodles station, where u cooked ur own noodles...
I tried cooking the bee hoon, no idea why, but i took the bee hoon own almost the instant i threw it in...
In the end not cook liek DURH!
Ok enough of the apps and mains...
Come to my fave part!!
WOW!
THE DESERT WAS AMAZING~~~~~
Not a very wide spread, but was DAMN TASTY!
They had many many many small cakes, a chocolate fountain and ice-cream...
Ok lets talk about the simple ones first...
The ice-cream..
Quite disappointing...
Nothing special, and the ice-cream tasted like CRAP!
Shitty Ice-Cream...
Nvm about that...
They had Red Ruby, very coconutty, and fragrant...
The chocolate fondue...
Definitely not some cheap quality chocolate, had a choice of fruit or marshmallow to go with it...
The strawberry with the chocolate was good, perfect blend of sour and sweet...
Then the best part!
The CAKES!
AMAZING CAKES I TELL U!
How i wish i could hire their pastry chef for my own...
Darn good...
There was this chocolate cake, its actually layers of chocolate cream, with a biscuit-like bottom...
Not only did it taste good, the texture of creamy + crunchy was amazing!
Has about 5-6 of those...
They were not veyr big pieces so ya...
There were many other cakes that are amazing, but it was that chocolate cake that caught my attention...
There was also this Strawberry Cheesecake like thing...
Did not finish it, but took a few bites...
I think it was cheese, but its too light for me...
I found prefer it to be a heavier cheese, like the Bakerzin Strawberry Cheese...
That is one of THE BEST CAKES!
Ha ha...
Ok i noe ur hear until hungry le right?
Price of the buffet?
Not too sure but if i am not wrong...

Ok lemme talk about the overall of the Restaurant...

Service: 9/10
Definately would want to go back again, overall, 8.5/10...
